About
Provides specially trained service dogs to increase independence of veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and other combat-related physical and psychiatric disabilities, including amputees. The Project HEAL service dogs learn numerous specialty commands to aid veterans by reminding them to take medications, warn of approaching strangers, creating a barrier in crowded public places, and more.
